They hire them to convey the company's goals and defend the company, not the players. Just because he's got the loudest voice doesn't mean he should hold a position of power. Lastly, no company that has ever existed has hired someone based off a "petition".

I have no interest in rationalizing with this company anymore, or any of it's fanboys. Rational discussion went on for years, it lead to us getting no where.
If you guys want a voice, THEN ******* SCREAM. IT'S ALREADY WORKING. You don't need the loudest **** among you to scream a little harder for you guys to be heard - you're doing VERY well on that on your own.
And, Funk, don't confuse 'can't' with 'won't', I've had enough with you fanboying around the forums without you insulting me directly too.
